Annual Meeting Minutes – May 18th, 2025

CALL TO ORDER

A meeting of Winterchase Board of Directors was held at the Winterchase Pool House on Sunday May 18th at 5:00 PM. Attendees included Mark Perdue, William Godfrey, Melissa Jones, Greg Thompson (Non-voting President), and members representing 10 homes.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The minutes from the annual meeting held on May 19th 2024 were read and approved.

APPROVAL OF FINANCIALS

Treasurer’s report of financials for 2024 to 2025 was presented Will Godfrey.

  • Bank statements for 2025 were made available.
  • Largest expenses for 2024 were the pool repairs and maintenance, and landscaping.
  • No major expense was incurred last year, and we finished in the positive.
  • 45 homes have paid dues for this year.
  • Dues are to remain at $400.

MOTIONS

A motion for approval of minutes was made by Melissa Jones and passed unanimously.

A motion for approval of financials was made by Mark Perdue and passed unanimously.

A motion to replace the fence on the left side of the entrance was made by Mark Perdue and passed unanimously.  Current budget set at $6,000

OLD BUSINESS

New pool pump was purchased and installed.

Greg Thompson discussed the front entrance landscaping that has been completed.

  • Tree trimmed, and grass planted around the entrance.

NEW BUSINESS

Pool is set to be open at the end of the month.

  • Phone service is scheduled to be approved this week.

Greg Thompson discussed replacing the fence on the left side of the entrance, with a current estimated budget of $6,000.

Flowerbeds up front will continue to be maintained by volunteers.

Members of the community expressed the following concerns:

  • People are driving into the neighborhood at too fast of speed. A committee will be formed to try to address this concern to the city.
    • Additional signage, or possible speed bumps were brought up as solutions.
  • People outside of the neighborhood using the pool.
    • A new pool code will be created.
    • Members will be reminded of pool rules, and self-policing safety guidelines.
  • Pool furniture is not up to standards.
    • A committee will be formed to research new options.
  • Membership in attendance is interested in a neighborhood block party before the school year begins in August.

No member submitted themselves as a candidate. BOD will remain unchanged.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Interested in volunteering?  Winterchase HOA is looking for volunteers to serve on the following committees:

  • Front entrance speeding concerns.
  • Front entrance flower planting.
  • Pool furniture research.

ADJOURNMENT

The next meeting of the BOD will be in July.  The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 PM.
