Dear Winterchase Homeowners,
Below are updates to the HOA financial situation, resuming the Annual Meeting/Election, pool area and community in general.
FINANCIALS: We realize it has been quite awhile since our last update and do apologize for the delay. The accountant had pneumonia and was unable to work on our account for a couple of weeks. At any rate, the financial review is now finished and he is compiling the information in a format that can be sent to all homeowners. When we receive that information, we will have it printed and sent to all of you. As that will still take a few days, your patience will be appreciated.
MEETING AND ELECTION: The financial information will be sent out first and the meeting information will come after. As of this date, the following homeowners are running for positions as Board Directors: Patricia (Pat) Evans, Incumbent; Diane Flanagan, Incumbent; William Godfrey; Shirley Hutcheson, Incumbent; Connie Keller; Doug McMinn; Mark Perdue; Debbie Rogers; and John Zambroski, Incumbent. Anyone else wishing to run for the Board should contact us at our Gmail account ([email protected]). We thank all of you who have expressed an interest in working on the Board for the betterment of this wonderful community.
As you know, the Annual Meeting, held May 13, 2017, was suspended because of the financial review. We will notify all of you of the exact date, time, and place for the meeting to resume. As it looks now, we may not be able to resume the meeting until after Labor Day. Everyone should be back from vacation, all children should be back in school, and we should have a good turnout. At that time we will be holding the election, which was also postponed on May 13th.
Do not forget that only homeowners in good standing are allowed to vote.
POOL: As you may have noticed, we have installed a small charcoal grill to the right of the pool fence. There is a bucket of sand for your use in extinguishing your coals. We have also posted signs reminding you that grills are NOT allowed in the pool area, as that is against all fire codes and subject to fines. If you wish to take your own grill to the pool, please use it in the area provided.
As a reminder, NO GLASS, NO ALCOHOL, NO SMOKING, NO GRILLS are allowed in the pool area! These signs/rules/laws are posted and were enacted for specific reasons! We ALL must abide by them! Our insurance does not cover negligence! “Butt Buckets” have been provided outside the fenced area for your convenience. Please use them.
Our pool contract provides for maintenance twice a week. In between scheduled maintenance, if there are leaves, etc. in the pool, a net has been provided on the side of the pool house so that anyone may skim the pool and remove debris. As the pool belongs to everyone, we ALL have a responsibility to maintain it and keep it looking its best, so everyone can have an enjoyable experience. Your help with this will be greatly appreciated.
COMMUNITY: We are all members of a community in which we should take a great deal of pride. All of us are needed to help maintain our properties and community in order to keep property values as high as possible.
