Dear Winterchase Neighbors,
As we mentioned in our meeting in May, we have engaged an accountant to go through our accounting system for the purpose of preparing Homeowner Association financial statements for the years 2015 and 2016. Up until 2017, when we outsourced the HOA accounting to HMS, our accounting records had never been scrutinized by anyone outside of the Board of Directors. This is not an audit or review, but rather a bookkeeping exercise to provide the Board with financial statements for fiscal years ending 2015 and 2016. We expect this work to be completed by July 31, 2017.
That being said, the meeting that had been tentatively scheduled for June 24, 2017 will not be held. Once this accounting process is complete, we will send a notice to all homeowners, along with a copy of the findings and a ballot, as well as a meeting date.
